Can I bring luohan fruit from China?

Does anyone know about fruit 罗汉果? luohan fruit, used in Chinese medicine. My chinese friends said medicine made out of it is very good & it can also be used as tea, my mom wants me to bring 罗汉果 tea to her, is it okay to be taken out of China?

Generally, you cannot take the fresh fruits. If they are dry, you may take some.
