25 hours in Shanghai

Hi,
I am planning to fly from Manila to Shanghai, then leave 25 hours later to Copenhagen. I will be staying with family in Shanghai. Do I need to visit the police department to check in, if it is only 25 hours in Shanghai (with time spent on passport control + arrival 2 hours before my flight back, i will be spending less than 24 hours away from the airport).

If you will be staying with family in Shanghai, you will need to visit the police department to check in. You can enjoy free transit in Shanghai, thus no visa will be needed then.

Note that you can only enjoy visa-free transit in Shanghai if your passport is from one of the 53 qualifying countries listed above. If you have a Philippines passport, for example, you will need a visa.
