I want to travel to China to have a look at machinery I saw on the internet and have a look for opportunities, I plan to stay for 14 days, how do I go about getting the visa, what's required?

If you cannot get an invitation letter from mainland China, you can apply for a tourist L type for this trip. First, prepare your passport and copy of its data page, the application form, a passport-style photo, round trip air tickets and hotel reservation. Next, submit the application to Chinese embassy or consulate.
