About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Can I get a 72 hour visa-free transit along with a work visa.

My employer will be paying for my return ticket, Vancouver-Beijing. I am getting a 30 day, one entry work Z but I would like to leave Beijing and travel to Philippines after my job is finished but need to return to Beijing before continuing on home to Vancouver as that is where my return ticket is from. Would a 72 hour free transit-allow me to enter the country a second time even if my return ticket originated form Beijing?

Yes. Just go to the transit line when you are arriving at Beijing the second time.
