About:How to Buy Ticket Online

Is student discount for a bullet train ticket available?

I'm a foreign student studying at Hangzhou Normal University and am planning to go to Shanghai this coming weekend. I heard that there is a discounted train ticket for a student. If so, please advise how to book a ticket online via TCG. What documents are required for booking (i.e., passport, student card).

It is sad that foreign student cannot use this student discount. There is very strict limitation. It only offered during summer and winter holiday, 4 chance a year. And it can only used for trip between the location of school to student's hometown. The detailed route will be stated on the student card. So foreign student cannot use this discount.
