About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

144 visa exempt for cruise passenger

We are cruise passengers (belgian nationality) with the following itinerary:

10th November (start cruise): Yokohama (JP)
11th November: Shimizu (JP)
12th November: Kobe (JP) - staying overnight
13th November: Kobe (JP)
14th November: At sea
15th November: Kagoshima (JP)
16th November: At sea
17th November: Shanghai (CN)
18th November: At sea
19th November: Okinawa (JP)
20th November: Keelung (TW) - staying overnight
21st November: Keelung (TW)
22nd November: At sea
23th November: Hong Kong (HK) - staying overnight
24th November (end cruise + flight to London): Hong Kong (HK)

Will we be eligible for the 144 hour free transit?

You need a Chinese visa because Japan-Shanghai-Japan is not a transit and 144 hr transit without visa does not apply.
