Transit Visa. Hello, I'm Nepalese citizen currently living in Sydney.

I'm travelling Sydney - Kunming - Kathmandu on 9 December, 2018 and returning Kathmandu - Kunming - Sydney 7 Jan, 2019. While returning on 7 Jan, I have more than 24 hours almost 26 hours of transit layover in Kunming. Currently I'm at Sydney. Will it be better to apply for transit visa from Sydney or Can I apply while I'll be in Kathmandu, Nepal.
