About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Getting to Hainan through Beijing

Hainan now has a free visitor visa but my flight is going through Beijing and I have a 14 hr layover. Can I get a transit visa for Beijing and then go onto Hainan on the free tourist visa?

No, you cannot. You need a tourist visa.
