Hello Changing M to X visa

i would like to ask if it is possible to change a 3 months M into a student X at the beginning of my journey in China is i have the necessary documents? Will the authorities find it suspicious? Or anything else?

It's possible for you to change the M type into X type at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB within China. They would not find it suspicious, I suppose. You can have a try.
