About:Prohibited Items

Can i please clarify the "Printed Matter" that is prohibited.

Does this only apply to books of particular subjects? For example if you are a student are you allowed to bring textbooks with you ?

Yes, you can take your textbooks and the prohibited "printed matter" means something will be harmful to Chinese politics, economy, culture and morality.
