Getting to China by train (Ulaanbaatar - Beijing) leaving by plane to Vietnam in 72 hours

Hi! Can I apply for a transit 72hrs twov for China if I’m going to Beijing by train via Ulaanbaatar? Or is taking a plane my only option?
If it is possible, can I ask for the visa in the border?

Hi, if you will arrive at the Beijing West Railway Station, you can apply for the 144h twov after arrival in your trip.
