About:China 72-hour Visa

Australian and New Zealand couple arriving by cruise ship to Shanghai

We arrive In Shanghai by cruise ship. Spend 2 nights in Shanghai then have airline ticket back to Australia. Do we require a visa or are we covered by the 72 hour twov?

If the last country before entering Shanghai is not Australia, you can apply for the 144h twov in Shanghai. Otherwise, you need a visa for the trip.
