About:Guangzhou Travel Guide

Do Indian passport holders require transit visa at Guangzhou (CAN) for less than 24 hours.

I am travelling from Delhi (DEL) to Melbourne (MEL) with a layover of 11 hours at GZ (CAN) through China Southern Airlines. The booking has been done within single ticket. I wanted an advise do I really need the transit visa as an Indian passport holder if:
1. I am not planning to leave the Airport?
2. If I want to avail free transit accommodation in listed hotel?

Thanks

I'm afraid you need to apply for the transit visa because you don't have interline ticket even if you don't leave the airport. You need to apply for a Chinese visa in advance.

I am flying with the same Airline. I would only have to change gates between 2 flights. Are you sure you require a transit visa even if you are having a layover in Guangzhou just because of connecting flights?

If you have separate ticket, you can apply for the 24 hours visa free policy.
