About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Mnl-pvg-icn-tao stop/tao-pvg-sin

I plan to fly mnl-pvg-icn-tao and from tao 3 days later via Pvg to sin.
I won t stop in pvg on the way back, i want to book a connecting flight with china eastern.

Can i get the visa on arrival for 72 hours in quingdao?

You are stopping in PVG which means you are ineligible for 72-hour TWOV in Tsingtao. To qualify you must clear immigration in Tsingtao which is not the case for your SIN flights.

Thanks John,

I will fly to PVG first, use my 72 hour free transit, then fly to ICN and get a proper Chinese Visa for my trip to Qingdao.

Previous data points indicate that getting a Chinese visa outside your country of citizenship or residence is impossible in many cases. You may want to get one in Germany or wherever you reside. Make sure to let the officers in PVG know not to use your visa.
