About:China Visa

I've already used my X1 Visa once to enter China. May I use it again?

I am a university student from America who is studying at a university in Guangzhou, China. Because my landlord did not have proper documentation, I was not able to get my temporary residency permit in time from the police office in order to renew my 1 year residency permit (外国人居留许可). Because of this I had to return to America immediately before my current residency permit expired. May I use my X1 Student that has multiple entries to once again enter the country and THEN renew my residency permit? My X1 student has yet to expire.

If your current X1 type is still valid, and has multiple entries, you could exit and re-enter again to apply for the residence permit.
