About:China Customs Declaration

I bought myself an Iphone 8 in China and am travelling back to my country Botswana

do i need to declare it and if so how much is the tax?

If you have opened the wrapping paper and used it already, then you don't need to declare. However, if it's a completely new phone, you need to declare it. I'm sorry that I am not very sure about the tax rate.
