About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I would travel with a groupOf students under 18

10 hours going to Tailand and 20 hours going back.
Do we need any extra documentation because they are under 18 without their parents???

Yes, you are supposed to provide their parent's consent letter and copies of their parents' passports. You can contact the China embassy to confirm this.
