i'd prefer going by bus from huangshan to suzhou (and from there to tongli).

I think I read there were several buses, but dont seem to find that info again, only about overnight trains. Id prefer a bus as it would also be interesting, and also faster. If I remember correctly, buses take 5-6 hrs, whereas trains -10hr. But what is the bus timetable?

Hi, Ray, I found some information online and hope to be helpful to you. There are about 4 buses daily operated  at the Huangshan Passenger Terminal and they usually depart at 06:50, 07:00, 11:00 and 13:10. The ticket fare is CNY132 per person. Nice trip!
