About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Beijing to Tianjin. Do I need a visa?

I am flying into Beijing from London on October 3rd. Three nights in Beijing then join cruise ship for Japan at Tianjan.

You do not if your ship's first port of call is outside Mainland China.

Thanks John. However, I have read that if you have Turkish visas in your passport it could complicate things. Do you know anything about this? Kay

Haven't heard any incidents at the border that was Turkish-visa related, so it might be a visa issuance thing only. However if you have previously applied for a visa but was refused and now has a stamp in your passport indicating such, you will be ineligible for visa free transit until you get a new passport.
