About:Luoyang Railway Station

Is it more convenient to stay near Luoyang Station or Luoyang Longmen Station?

I am visiting Luoyang for 4D3N. I will take speed train from Xian to Luoyang Longmen Station.
Day 1: Speed train from Xian to Luoyang Longmen Station
Visit Luoyang Old Street
Day 2: Visit Shaolin Temple & Mt. Song
Day 4: Visit Longmen Grottoes
Day 5: Speed train from Luoyang Longmen Station to Xian

From my above itinerary, would you recommend me to stay hotel near Luoyang Station or Luoyang Longmen Station?
Are Luoyang Station or Luoyang Longmen Station near to city centre where I can find food, shopping easily?
How do I go to Shaolin Temple? Bus No and from where can I take the bus?
How do I go to Longmen Grottoes? Bus No and from where can I take the bus?

Luoyang Station, the old station is closer to the old city town area. Also, to Shaolin Temple, you need to take long distance bus. The long distance bus station is closer to the old station too. To take the high speed rides and visit Longmen Grottoes, Longmen Station is nearly much faster. See from your route, maybe it is better to stay closer to the Longmen Station, or you may consider to book two different hotels at different days, one in old town and one in longmen area. You can arrange the visiting in Luoyang based on the stay.
