trains shanghai to suzhou

Question

We are going to Suzhou from Shanghai and returning.  Can we just turn up at the station to buy tickets for the fast train, or do you have to pre book.  It's just that we're not sure what time we'll want to return.

There are so many rides a day between Shanghai and Suzhou. You can buy the ticket at station diectly after your arrival if you are not in a hurry. If the first ride sold out, you can take the next one availavle.
