transit in kunming

Question

Hi, I'm Italian passport holder. I'll fly from Milan then transit 3 hours in Kunming before continue to Luang Prabang (LAOS). On my way back I will fly from Vientiane (LAOS) then trasit 15 hours in Kunming before continue to Milan. Can I get 24h direct transit at Kunming, both times? Or can I get 24h direct transit on one way and the 72 hours free transit on my way back?

What’s your exact route? I don’t think there is a non-stop flight from Milan to Kunming. If you have another stop in China you are automatically limited to 24 hours transit without visa.
