chengdu to Chongqing seat selection

Are we more likely to get our two seats assigned together if we purchase 1st class than if we purchase 2nd?

It mainly depends on the ticket availability, not seat class. If there are still may seats left, it is possible to get the seats together no matter for first class or second class.
