About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Two nights pre cruise accommodation in Shanghai and two day visit to Hong Kong as part of cruise

My wife and I have two nights hotel accommodation booked in Shanghai before we join a cruise departing Shanghai on day 3. First port of call after start of cruise is Hong Kong. The cruise ship is moored overnight and passengers are able to go ashore for sightseeing and shore excursions Are these periods classed as visa-free transits

If your last stop before entering Shanghai is not HK, you can avail of the 144h twov in Shanghai. No visa will be needed for that.
