About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

QINGDAO AND XIAMEN LAYOVER (Phil passport)

Hello, we will be travelling to LAX USA from the PHILIPPINES and we have less than 10 hours layover for both Qingdao and Xiamen, do we need a transit G? Appreciate your response. Thank you

You are able to get the 24h twov in Qingdao and Xiamen. No visa will be required.

Thank you for your swift response. I ask the airline, they are saying that if no hidden stop, no need for Visa but if there's a layover in Qingdao, then we have to get one. Im confused as we will be flying in 3 days :(

We have a lay over to Xiamen for 1.5 hours then heading to Qingdao and layover for 8.5 hours before heading to LaX.

There is almost no point in calling the airline before you travel. It's usually a waste of time and it has no impact on your ability to travel. Reservations staff are not experienced in visa requirements and don't use TIMATIC often, if at all. Check-in staff at the airport, however, are experienced. Get to the airport early, and be prepared to stand firm and ask for a supervisor if there is any problem. But you should be fine.

Thanks Rob. Xiamen airlines says that muktiple stop is not allowed in China even less than 24 hours.

This is the message from the airline:

Please be clarify that 24hour transit visa is guarenteed if you have only one stop in China. Since your booking has two stops in China which is from MNL-XMN-TAO-LAX,Xiamen and Qingdao are two stops that will go to China in your booking because of the two stops you need to get a Chinese Visa in order to get through in your flight.
