Where to apply the 24 TWOV at the airport?

I will have 22 hrs layover at PVG airport in Shanghai and plan to go to stay at my relative’s home overnight. Where do I go to apply the 24 hr TWOV upon arrival?

In Shanghai, leaving the airport is no longer possible if your layover is less than 24 hours regardless of nationality, but some reported that bringing a hotel reservation will help. As you plan to go to stay at your relative’s home overnight, you might be required to apply for a transit G type for that. It's just for your reference.
