Where can my friend meet me when I arrive at Shenyang airport?

I am a USA citizen who will be flying from Seattle on Delta Airlines to Beijing and then taking a China Southern flight to SY, all on the same ticket. I have been told I will go through Customs in Beijing. I believe there is a International Arrivals hall and a door leads from that hall into the terminal. Is that the best place for my friend to find me? She will already be in SY.
