June 28/ 1962, will I be able to do the job well

Hello I have been offered to mentor 4 classes in my school and to help them in the front office. I have been working in this school for 14 yrs. I was approached by my director to help them out. I said yes to the position, and am not sure if I did the right thing accepting this position.
