We've heard that the temple is currently closed due to heavy rains. Is this correct, and, if so, when will it reopen?

My friend went there at the beginning of August, it was still open but I’m not clear how about it now.

Thanks Nancy. Our information (20th August) is that it has been closed since 6th August due to constant rains and that some of the caves were damaged and are now under repair.
