Arrival / Departure Card for 144 hour visa free transit

We (US citizens) plan to arrive in Shanghai on a cruise ship that stops in Japan and South Korea and would like to stay in the Shanghai area 3 or 4 nights. We believe we qualify for the 144 hour free transit option. However, the cruise line is not aware of the Arrival/Departure Card, which is needed for this option. Can this card be obtained upon arrival?

I think this card be obtained upon arrival. You don't need to worry about that too much.
