About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Visa free from hong kong. I am a uk citizen and resident.

If i travel from uk to hong kong, stop over then fly hong kong to beijing, then back to uk via hong kong (stay in hong kong airport). Can i use the 72 hour free entry to Beijing

No, because you're not in transit to a third country. Hong Kong-Beijing-Hong Kong requires a visa.
