About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Help! I think I've made a mistake! Will I be eligible for the 144 hour twov for Shanghai????

I'm a US passport holder coming from Kuwait. I have many stops on the way to China. My itinerary goes as follows:

Kuwait to Kathmandu (3 hour layover)
Kathmandu to Guangzhou (2 hour layover)
Guangzhou to Shanghai (4 night/5 day stay)
Shanghai to Kunming (2 hour layover)
Kunming to Kathmandu (7 hour layover)
Kathmandu to Kuwait (Done flying)

All of my flights are single flights pieced together. None are roundtrip tickets.

You need a visa for that. You're not eligible for 144 hours transit without visa because of the multiple stops in China, and also because you're not transiting China.
