About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

YUL-PVG PVG -BKK BKK-PVG PVG-YUL

Hello, Im contemplating buying a RT from YUL to PVG, and another PVG to BKK nested inside trip

Ex. Leave YUL Oct. 28, arrive PVG OCt. 29, and stay 2 days in PVG
Leave PVG Nov. 1 to BKK
Return BKK to PVG Nov. 8
Stay another 2 days in PVG and return to YUL

This would fall under the 72 hours exemption or 144h?
