About:Tianmen Mountain

Hotel near Zhangjiajie Tianmenshan park

If we stay at a hotel near entrance to Zhangjiajie park, are we also close to where to where the glass walkways are? Also, from Zhengzhou, should we train to Yichang then from there train to Zhangjiajie? How long approximately is the total trip? Thanks.

No, the entrance is not near the glass walkways and you need to take the cable car to reach it.
Form Zhengzhou Railway Station, there are two direct trains to Zhangjiajie at 18:12 and 22:37. It takes about 14h/ 17h.
Or you can take a bullet train from Zhengzhou East Railway Station to Changshan south and it takes about 3.5 – 4.5h. Upon arrival, take the maglev to Changsha airport and take a flight to Zhangjiajie and it takes about 1h.
