About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Travelling from Rome to Beijing (with a stopover in Chongqing) then a direct flight to Cambodia

Could you confirm that my stopover in Chongqing does not interfere with the 72 - hours free transit? Also Chongqing offers the transit so I am confused why the embassy and airlines are unsure in my case.
The direct flight to Cambodia from Beijing is within the 72 hours.

Many thanks!!

Two stops in China immediately limits you to 24 hours transit without visa. Your itinerary won’t qualify for 72/144 hrs.
