Shiyuan Jiangnan Zhenshui Hostel at no. 63, Baijianlou east bank

Is it possible to walk here from the Nanxun bus station using Baoshan street?
Do I have to pay the old town entrance fee to get to the hostel from the north side of Baijianlou East Bank? I plan to arrive in late afternoon and tour the old town the following morning, but I don't want to pay an extra day just to get to the hostel for the night.
