Philiphine Passport - Transit 13 hours in Shanghai

Hi, I have a Philippines passport traveling to Indonesia(destination). I have a 13-hour layover from around 5AM to 6PM in Shanghai. Do I need a visa go go out of Shanghai airport?

Thanks!

Leaving the airport without a visa for a layover under 24 hours is at the immigration officer's discretion. Some reported that bringing a hotel reservation will help. You can have a try. Good luck.
