About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Visa needed? Hi Everyone

I'm traveling April 2019 from SFO > Beijing > Xi'an > Shanghai > SFO...breakdown would be 3 days in Beijing, 2 days in Xi'an, 1 day in Suzhou, 1 day in Wuxi, 1 day in Hangzhou, 2 days in Shanghai. Do I need to have a VISA given its over the 144 hours. I'm probably answering my own question here. Thanks guys!

The limit is 24 hours in China if you have more than one stop so visa will be needed. Good news is US Passport can get a 10 year multiple entry visa.

Also this is not a transit at all since you are not traveling to a third country after landing in Beijing.
