I do have 10 hours layover in Shanghai Pudong and 14 hours in Kunming. Do I have to apply for a transit visa? Thank you

Yes you will need visa. 24 hour transit is counted from scheduled landing in Shanghai and scheduled departure from Kunming. 10 hour Shanghai + 3 hour 30 min flight + 14 hour Kunming = 27 hours and 30 minutes which is more than 24 hours.
