Very confused about transient visa in beijing.

We are traveling to Las Vegas With F2 from philippines via hongkong then peking, the layover is less than 24 hrs, do we need a transient visa for this? Please help because I made a booking without a knowledge about transient entry permit. Please send an answer to my email as well, please.
