About:China Transit Visa

Is there a fee at the airport for the transit visa?

I read some websites saying that the 24 hours free transit is not free.....they said they will charge you a fee for processing it and the price is like a visa itself. is that true?
Im a canadian citizen flying to bangkok and have a stop at shanghai airport.

24 hour twov is no charge with Canadian Passport (similar with 72/144 hour TWOV) . Just make sure its country A > Shanghai > Country B. For instance Canada > Shanghai > Bangkok is allowed.
