The high-speed trains from Shanghai to Suzhou depart from Shanghai Railway Station and Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station. However, I would suggest you book a train leaving from Shanghai Railway Station as it is more closer to the Bund than Hongqiao Station.

From the Bund, you can walk to the East Nanjing Road and take subway Line 2, transfer to Line 1 at People's Square Station and get off at Shanghai Railway Station. Or you may take a taxi diretly and the fare is around CNY 25. Then you can take a high speed train to Suzhou. The ride takes around 30 minutes.
