About:Beijing - Xian High Speed Train

Beijing to Xi'an bullet train

I am trying to purchase business class tickets on the 06:53 from Beijing arrive Xi'an 11:24 and the 18:24 from Xi'an arrive Beijing 22:24. But I have been advised that this is not possible as Xian is a stopover and not a final destination. Is this correct ?

Yes, indeed. You hardly find business class on the G89 and G90 for this trip. The railway company offered tickets between Chengdu and Beijing, its begining stations. If you do not mind to pay more, you may buy a ticket to or from Chengdu. Then still get off and boarding from Xian.
