Beijing to Xi'an bullet train

I am trying to purchase business class tickets on the 06:53 from Beijing arrive Xi'an 11:24 and the 18:24 from Xi'an arrive Beijing 22:24. But I have been advised that this is not possible as Xian is a stopover and not a final destination. Is this correct ?
