Hi. I am South african and currently studying with a X2 single entry visa. I planned to travel to Bali in August with my GF and want to know if there is a quick solution to leave china for a week and come back into China after it.

As your X2 type only has single entry, once you leave China, your student X2 type will expire. If you want to re-enter mainland China, you need to apply for a new X type then. The required documents and processing time are basically the same as the previous application for single-entry one.
