About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Free entry in both ways?

I'm traveling from Finland to Australia through Beijing. I'm from 31.12 to 1.1 at Beijing and also coming through Beijing at 7.2 back to Finald. Can i travel through Beijing in bout dates?
