About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Visa for 36 hours in China

We arrive in Bejing at 9.30am from Heathrow and depart to Tokyo the following day at 16.30. Staying overnight in Bejing airport hotel. Do we need entry permit?

You don’t need a visa if your passport is from one of the 53 qualifying countries for 144 hours free transit without, and you have no other stops in China.
