I'm currently using an x2. I've been told I can get a business M stamped on my passport inside China but I would have to leave mainland China to get an exit stamp for my x2 and of course, in order to activate my business M. Is this information right?

Hi, as I know, it's possible for you to change the X2 type into M type at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB within China. If it can be done, you don't need to leave China. You can have a try.

Hi Hilaria, do you know the processing time and necessary documents for changing from X2 to M within China? I am in the same situation as Adam and am looking for possible solutions too.

You may need to prepare your passport, valid registration form of temporary residence, the application form, passport-style photo, and an invitation letter from your business partner, as well as the return ticket. It may need 7 days for the processing. Just for reference.
