About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

Transit visa needed if changing planes twice in China

I am an Irish and GB citizen. On 5 August I will be flying from Amsterdam to Cairns with China Southern Airlines. I will be changing twice: once in Shanghai (stopover 6 hours 45 minutes) and Guangchou (stopover 2 hours 50 minutes).
I will not be leaving the airport on either occasion.

Hi, you can enjoy 24h twov in mainland China. No visa will be needed. Nice trip.
