Do Malaysians need a China visa for transit of less than 36 hours?

Nin hao,

I am a Malaysian who will be flying home from US to Malaysia, via Guangzhou or Shanghai. Do I need entry permit to leave the airport for 30 hours? Xie xie!

Yes, you need to apply for a visa for the transit in mainland China.
