About:Chinese Embassy in Malaysia

Do i have to bring my old passport along when i apply for a tourist visa.

In 2011 i visited Hainan Island (China) once using my previous passport and now i am using a renewed (new) passport.

Yes, you are supposed to provide the old passport and its copy for the application.
